Cornbread (bread machine)
1 1/4 cups liquid (1 egg plus water to make up amount)
2 tbsp powdered milk
1 tbsp shortening (butter, margarine or vegetable shortening)
1 tbsp honey
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 cups white flour
1/3 cup cornmeal
1 tsp bread machine yeast (add 1/4 tsp if using regular dried yeast)
Add the ingredients to the bread machine baking pan in the order listed. Insert the pan into the machine and close the lid. Select the basic bread setting and start the machine.
