Basic Baked Chicken

Chicken pieces (legs, breasts (halved), thighs, drumsticks or wings)
oil or melted butter
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp dried herbs (oregano, basil, thyme or tarragon)

Preheat oven or toaster oven to 350F (190C). Rinse the chicken pieces and dry. Brush with oil or melted butter and sprinkle with salt, pepper and herbs. Arrange skin-side down in a baking dish. Bake for 45 mins (less for wings), turning and basting several times.
